the worst fucking thing happened today

snack at our school is supposed to be vegetarian.
we always bring those mini-corndogs from morningstar farms when it's our turn.
(can you see where this is going?)
today we had mini corndogs
and i ate four of them
isaijah had 3
then i went to the kitchen to get a refill fo something

and i saw the box
they were chicken franks.

OMFG. i cried. i was so upset. that is the first known meat my son has eaten. i wanted to throw up but the bathroom is not private and a zillion people would have heard me. i should have done it anyway. it would have made an impact.

so when the kitchen person was told
she said
"oh it's not meat- it's chicken."

and she is a nice lady. she really didn't mean to, she felt so so bad for me.

but hello.

last time i checked a chicken was an animal.

i have to be so so careful at school, everywhere. i have to be mroe vigilant.

i am so upset, and sick to my stomach.

if you think this is dumb just shut the fuck up. it's a big deal to me.

man, that sucks. it's happened to bruce quite a few times since we've been dating. he's a strict vegetarian since birth. poor guy.

I used to be a vegetarian, but am not now. Although I mostly eat vegetarian cooking. Anyway, I love those little mini morningstar farms corndogs. But the damn things are $5 here!

Hasn't happened to me, really, yet, thankfully. I've eaten seemingly inconspicuous stuff and then realised the packet said 'unsuitable for vegetarians' and worried about wtf they'd put in there. And I've had random bits of ham that have snuck onto innocent pizzas, but. Eurgh.

The kitchen woman needs a mini corndog stuffed up her nose. Just because everything supposedly tastes like chicken doesn't mean that chicken has ceased to be meat! Jeeze.

Maybe this will do some good and it won't happen again?
