i feel like i have come back from another planet.
things took a sudden and unexpected turn for the worse for me friday night. i couldn't breathe and was having intense spasmodic coughing fits that weren't productive at all, nor would they end. and then my eyes started to ooze green stuff. yeah. this is the most intense infection i've ever had i think. anyway i (barely) got through the night by breathing shallow and praying a lot. and sucking down cough syrup every 2 hours. it was pretty bad, but i woke up the next day feeling a little better.
well then last night isaijah wakes up howling that his ear hurt. so it was another long night between my bed and his, holding him, rocking him, administering various medication. i will die if he gets as sick as i have been.
i still have crap in my chest and both my ears are infected, but i'm starting to come around i think. i am nervous about isaijah but he seems to be a little better this morning. i'm making him drink orange juice and echinacea tea.
sam is at the farmer's market getting fruit and local honey.
our arsenal so far:
raw garlic (so far this is the thing that has worked the best)
oil of oregano
homeopathic everything
herbal cough syrups
eucalyptus (usedtolickthis) oil
triaminic cough patches
hot garlic ear oil
emergen-c
echinacea/goldenseal
tea of nasty herbal shit
god. make it go away.
