i am glad i get to stay home with my kid, and experience him. i get all down sometimes because my little world doesn't seem to extend very far these days. but really, i have a pretty awesome job. isaijah is brilliant. i sometimes worry for him that he is so smart that he might get bored with everything. but probably not. smarty pants.
anyway, i am glad i get to relax and enjoy my son and these surroundings. this city is absolutely unique. driving through it before the sun came up this morning made for some introspection. just to observe this place, it feels like an anthropological experience.
park labrea is this three-block square compound. it has security men, and walls. on these walls are huge photos of what it's like INSIDE. there are shops and pools and fountains and hootchiekoo restraunts and the park la brea towers. which remind sam and i both of walker tower. :P it's annoying because you can't go through on car or foot, so you have to go around. it's good becasue there's a nice straightaway on its borders for driving fast.
and i know it's good for ijah to be raised here, now. there's just so much to see and experience.
and now we get ready to go.
i'm taking my kid on tour.
see ya in a couple of days.
