s.q. sent me a package! he got me a leopard print snap bracelet because i was admiring his tiger one when he was here. he's a sweetie:)

and in other news, natasha came to the door with a bird in her mouth, bird still flapping. she is a huntress, really. so i open the sliding glass door to (duh) shoo her away and the bird came in. i shut the door before she got in so i had this injured bird flapping around my dining room. feathers everywhere.
the first time she brought a bird in the house i FREAKED OUT. it was so graphic. i mean, the neighbors came running because i was screaming bloody murder.
this time my heart rate didn't even raise.
i've seen it too many times.

Once we were sititing at a work Christmas Party and a bird FLEW DOWN the fireplace (chimney) into the burning fire that was in place there. not really a cat story, but VERY WEIRD, nonetheless.

it didn't die though, it just flapped wildly around the house, gettting soot all over the walls, until her husband caught it and put it outside.
