sam came home at 8:30 this morning. and slept.
bryan came over and we took the kid to two parks and pizza and ice cream. les, i had to give him the see's candy. i hope he doesn't eat all of it.

then i went to the video store and because of my late fees it was cheaper to buy lilo and stitch. another early xmas present. but i got a free rental with it and i'm so excited to see the notorious C.H.O.!!!! i can't use it today, though.

while we were at the video store sam got called in. the next step in his employment is starting to happen. they are counting on him for all kinds of things and calling him in and giving him overtime. so begins the always-working phase of his career. i guess it's ok, but it's going to affect my ability to work and i don't want that. i've alreay decided on an allday kindergarten (it's only 2 hours longer than he's in now), which i can't believe. i used to think it wasn't cool to put them in all day at age 5. but he'll be almost 6 (!) and i REALLY want to free up some hours so i can work.

so now sam is going to work and that sucks. another evening alone.
perhaps i shall craft.

also the mail fairy brought me a handmade necklace from tamara featuring green amber!! she made one for the nugget, too. :):) she COINCIDENTALLY will be heading through okc on new year's eve (henceforth referred to as "nye")!!! and yes, of course she will be attending the BRC show! W00T!!

the other thing i got in the mail! it's a card and a photo of richard scarry's best most goshdarnest cutest family ever: ashantae and her boys!!!! oh, the humanity. they are too precious. it is of course on the fridge. mad props to geri lynn for that- she's rockin the nikon!!

i realized i can start packing. and that i should start packing. monday through wednesday promise to be a whirlwind!!!
