Jun. 28th, 2002 09:34 amok, so if you know me at all you may know that i am infatuated with this man.
and if you read my journal at all you will have noticed that i have been obsessing for days over going to his show that was last night. well, bryan is gone so i really didn't have anyone to go with, but i would have gone alone, except that sam had to work at midnite and who am i going to ask to come over at 11:30 pm?????
i reasoned with myself that i had always seen duff for free (twice at the viper room) and that i couldn't afford to pay for this since it was the opening of club vodka with adult film stars and such.
SO, sam's friend from the plant named johnny called and sam went to see him for awhile yesterday afternoon. turns out, slash had rented johnny's studio space for the afterparty. "those rockers" johnny had said. and he had VIP passes to the show at club vodka that he wasn't going to use.
sam casually mentions this to me at like, 9pm.
which is right when leslie calls. (my only hope for a babysitter)
johnny had invited sam to come party with them after the show. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) sam said he would call johnny and see if i could go party there. but no. i wanted to see the set, the music. i don't know if i could have handled partying with adult film stars. i just really wanted to see loaded play. i've had the chance to meet duff and i didn't do it.
it's just so crazy that i have been obsessing so much and then that kind of falls into sam's lap. crazy crazy. so sam went by there (the studio space) before he went to work, and it was too early for any rock star partying. and we didn't have johnny's cell phone number to get those passes for the show.
fucking insanity.
